Russ Kamis — Biography

Russ Kamis is an executive coach and professional change agent. He brings over twenty years of business leadership experience that spans multiple functional disciplines at both midsize and Fortune 500 companies across eight different industries. A corporate strategy specialist, Russ completed more than twenty acquisitions/divestitures for over $3billion in value, turned around businesses and unified challenged teams through periods of transition.

Appointed President and CEO of a life-safety business at age 35, Russ grew the company to $100 million, doubling its size in seven years. He has extensive experience in successfully reshaping businesses by addressing the right issues, leveraging core competencies and making needed change.

Today, Russ specializes in helping Presidents, CEO’s and their leadership teams create a winning atmosphere ideal for success. He partners with executives to improve communication, resolve conflict and increase self-knowledge thereby enhancing personal effectiveness and, ultimately, company profitability. Through a mix of personal coaching, leadership development and strategic consulting, Russ guides organizations to bridge the gap from where they are to where they want to be.

As Founder and President of The Kamis Group, Russ also guides individuals and groups to resolve challenging personal issues and navigate life transitions. He inspires personal growth through increased self-awareness and individual authenticity via life coaching, educational seminars, motivational speaking, and inspirational retreats. Russ helps people identify, develop and accomplish their life goals – living more full and meaningful lives.

Graduating top-of-class, Russ earned his MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management where he majored in strategy, finance, marketing and international business. He also received his Bachelors of Science Degree in chemical engineering from Case Western Reserve University graduating with high honors and holds twelve U.S. Patents in adhesive chemistry.

Russ is a Certified Executive & Life Coach, an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and a YPO International Certified Trainer & Facilitator. He is also a Professor of Strategy and teaches at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
